A professional CCTV system when cabling isn’t an option.

In an existing building, running new cables is often impractical. Wi-Fi seems the obvious alternative, but it weakens with every metre, every wall and every extra wireless device. With the Bascom® POWER system, you use the cables already in place: your mains wiring. Connect each camera to the nearest socket and it links straight to the recorder, even at the other end of the building. No chasing walls, just the stability of a wired connection.

Yes. As long as the barn, garage or warehouse is powered from the main building, every socket there becomes a connection point too. This works with cable runs of up to 500 metres.

Yes. The signal travels between circuits and, with a three-phase supply, between phases. So you can connect the cameras and the recorder to any socket.

That’s what the Bascom® POWER Outdoor Adapter is for. This version has no plug and connects directly to the mains cable, both indoors and outdoors. You can order the adapter separately, by phone or email.

Industrial build quality for years of reliability.

A professional CCTV system is a long-term investment. That is why Bascom exclusively designs security cameras built to withstand extreme weather conditions and vandalism:

  • Solid aluminium housing with a rust and UV-resistant coating.

  • IP67-rated for 100% water and dust resistance.

  • Flawless performance in temperatures ranging from -30 °C to 55 °C.

The system that always works. Even without the internet.

CCTV should never rely on a patchy internet connection or external servers. That is why this system is built around a physical recorder that runs continuously, day and night. If the internet goes down, recording continues uninterrupted. You won't miss a single moment.

Yes. Although the system records completely independently, you can easily connect the recorder to your internet. This allows you to watch live securely from anywhere in the world via the app for your smartphone and tablet, or the software for your computer. Find out more about this further down the page.

As standard, the system stores several weeks of footage. Would you like to keep recordings for longer? The storage capacity can easily be expanded. Once the storage is full, the oldest footage is automatically overwritten. This means you never have to free up space yourself.

No. You purchase the CCTV system with a one-off payment and instantly become the full owner. Because the footage is stored locally on the recorder, you do not need a subscription. Furthermore, the app and all features are included as standard. There are absolutely no hidden monthly fees.

Your recordings belong to you. Not to a tech giant.

Many modern systems continuously send your private footage to third parties for analysis and storage. Bascom is committed to absolute privacy. The cameras are equipped with AI chips that perform all analyses independently, and the recorder stores your footage locally. This ensures that everything remains securely within your own premises.

No, Bascom does not have access to your CCTV system. Your footage only leaves the recorder when you explicitly choose to do so.

Yes, you can. You can easily connect the system to your Dropbox, Google Drive, or your own (S)FTP server.

Yes, local storage provides the perfect foundation for this: after all, your footage does not end up with a third party. Furthermore, the system includes all the features required to comply with regulations. You decide who has access, how long recordings are kept, and you can obscure specific parts of the image using privacy masking.

Crystal-clear evidence you can actually use.

A camera is useless if strong backlighting makes a face unrecognisable or if the image turns into grainy noise in the dark. That is why Bascom's hardware guarantees clear footage, even under the most challenging conditions:

  • True 4K resolution with smooth, stutter-free footage.

  • Light-sensitive image sensors with active noise reduction.

  • Backlight compensation to prevent under- and overexposure.

  • Powerful infrared night vision up to 50 metres in complete darkness.

Fully controllable: 360° rotation and 25x zoom

This high-performance camera features a fast, rugged PTZ mechanism. You can rotate it a full 360 degrees and tilt it over 90 degrees, ensuring no area is left unmonitored. Thanks to its powerful zoom lens, even distant details remain clearly visible – giving you an impressive range of view.

If you plan to actively control your cameras, a PTZ model is an excellent option. However, if you're considering a PTZ camera simply to monitor multiple angles but don't intend to steer it regularly, you're often better off installing two or more fixed cameras. This ensures all angles are continuously recorded, so you don’t risk missing anything.

There are several ways to control a PTZ camera: directly via the recorder using a monitor and mouse, from a laptop or desktop computer, or through the Bascom smartphone app.

Thanks to its optical zoom, image quality remains consistently sharp when zooming in or out. Unlike digital zoom – which enlarges the image electronically and often results in pixelation – optical zoom uses the physical movement of the lens to bring objects closer. This means even at full zoom, the image stays clear, sharp, and highly detailed.

Use the system your way.

Connect a monitor, or connect the recorder to the internet to watch live and review footage from anywhere in the world. The Bascom app and software connect directly to your own system. Fast and secure.

Notifications that truly matter.

A security camera that sends a notification for every cat that walks by quickly loses its value. Thanks to advanced AI detection, false alarms are a thing of the past. Bascom cameras flawlessly distinguish between people, vehicles, and harmless movements. You only receive a push notification via the app when there is genuinely something going on.

Professional end result without hiring an installer.

No waiting times, no call-out charges, and no strangers on your premises. Over 95% of our customers install this system entirely themselves, even without prior experience with CCTV. And if you have a question during installation? Bascom's specialists are ready to guide you step by step.

Step 1: Mount the cameras.
Attach the cameras to the wall or ceiling. Because the lens can be rotated in all directions, you can adjust the image perfectly from any mounting angle. The connection cable can be hidden invisibly through the wall or routed through the side of the housing.

Step 2: Connect the cameras.
Supply power to the cameras. From this moment on, the system uses your building's existing electrical wiring as a data connection. The cameras transmit their footage directly over the power lines to the recorder.

Step 3: Connect the recorder.
As soon as you plug the recorder into the mains, it automatically detects the cameras. The system is immediately ready for use and starts recording straight away. If desired, connect a monitor to view the footage locally.

Step 4: Connect the app (optional).
Do you want to view the footage remotely? Simply connect the recorder to your internet. Scan the unique QR code with the Bascom app for a direct connection to your smartphone or tablet.

If you have a question while setting up the system or connecting the app, Bascom's specialists are available by phone every weekday to guide you step by step.

  • No anonymous call centre: You speak directly with certified Bascom technicians who know the system inside out.

  • No endless queues: Fast, expert help right when you need it, every weekday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.

  • Free and unlimited: Our support is, and will always remain, completely free of charge.

Call our specialists directly on 0121 368 0033 or send an email to info@bascom-cameras.co.uk.

Yes. The number of additional cameras you can connect depends on the available ports on your recorder. The included recorder is tailored to the size of the system by default:

  • 1 to 4 cameras: recorder with 4 ports.

  • 5 to 8 cameras: recorder with 8 ports.

  • 9 to 16 cameras: recorder with 16 ports.

Are you planning a larger expansion in the future than the recorder can handle? It is always possible to equip the system with a larger recorder in advance. Please contact us to arrange this, or configure a custom system yourself.

Technical specifications

Dimensions (without bracket)

Height: 270 mm

Diameter: 160 mm

Image quality

Image resolution: Ultra HD (4K)

Frame rate: 25 fps ?The frame rate, expressed in frames per second (fps), determines how smoothly video is displayed. A frequency of 25 fps is considered the industry standard for film and television, providing smooth motion without stuttering.

Type of image sensor: back-illuminated ?A back-illuminated image sensor has a unique structure, where the light-sensitive part is closer to the light source, improving the efficiency of light capture. This ensures that the camera performs better in low light conditions and only needs to switch to night mode later.

Image processing technologies:

  • High Dynamic Range (HDR) ?HDR technology significantly improves the image quality by increasing the dynamic range between the brightest and darkest parts of the image. This results in images where details in very bright and very dark areas are preserved.

  • Automatic Gain Control (AGC) ?AGC automatically amplifies the signal of the image sensor in low-light situations. This allows the camera to consistently deliver bright images, even in a dark environment.

  • 3D Digital Noise Reduction (3D-DNR) ?Noise is the grainy structure that occurs when there is little light. 3D-DNR is an advanced algorithm that analyzes the camera images and removes noise. This results in cleaner and sharper images in the dark.

Color image: active from 0.002 lux ?This indicates the minimum amount of light needed for the camera to operate in color mode before switching to infrared night vision.

Infrared night vision: up to 100 meters ?This is the maximum distance the camera can capture clearly in complete absence of light.

PTZ mechanism

25x optical zoom (horizontal field of view from 56.9° to 2.9°) ?Optical zoom uses the physical movement of lens elements to zoom, maintaining image quality. This is in contrast to digital zoom, where sharpness is lost.

360° rotation angle

-10° to 90° tilt range

255 presets (user-defined camera positions to easily and quickly switch between)

1 patrol scan (a function where the camera automatically switches between different presets according to a sequence set by you)

4 pattern scans (a function where the camera automatically follows a pre-programmed motion pattern)

Autotracking (a feature that allows the camera to automatically track moving objects, such as people and vehicles)

3D positioning (allows users to quickly and accurately aim the camera by simply clicking on a specific point in the video image)

Housing

Material: aluminum alloy with powder coating

Cable security: the cable runs invisibly through the base and therefore cannot be cut.

Protection: dustproof and waterproof (complies with resistance standard IP66 according to IEC standard 60529)

Operating temperature: -30°C to 55°C

Location: suitable for indoor and outdoor use

Mounting options: suitable for wall or ceiling mounting. Ceiling bracket available separately.

Other

Power consumption: maximum 22W

Certification: CE (complies with EU safety standards)

Warranty: 2 years

Compatibility

Recorders: models with a type designation that does not end in an 'N' (sold until mid-2022) are only supported with limited functionality.

Connection limits: due to the higher power consumption, the following limits apply when connected directly to a recorder:

  • 4-channel recorder: 1 PTZ camera
