Easily connect with just one cable per camera.

Thanks to Power over Ethernet (PoE), you can connect each camera using a single UTP cable. This cable transmits the footage to the recorder and directly supplies the camera with power. As a result, a separate power socket near the camera is no longer required.

Discreet dome model: Thanks to its circular design, it blends into its surroundings and conceals the exact viewing direction. Suitable for wall or ceiling mounting.

Industrial build quality for years of reliability.

A professional CCTV system is a long-term investment. That is why Bascom exclusively designs security cameras built to withstand extreme weather conditions and vandalism:

  • Solid aluminium housing with a rust and UV-resistant coating.

  • Impact-resistant dome that is 250 times stronger than glass.

  • IP67-rated for 100% water and dust resistance.

  • Flawless performance in temperatures ranging from -30 °C to 55 °C.

The system that always works. Even without the internet.

CCTV should never rely on a patchy internet connection or external servers. That is why this system is built around a physical recorder that runs continuously, day and night. If the internet goes down, recording continues uninterrupted. You won't miss a single moment.

Yes. Although the system records completely independently, you can easily connect the recorder to your internet. This allows you to watch live securely from anywhere in the world via the app for your smartphone and tablet, or the software for your computer. Find out more about this further down the page.

As standard, the system stores several weeks of footage. Would you like to keep recordings for longer? The storage capacity can easily be expanded. Once the storage is full, the oldest footage is automatically overwritten. This means you never have to free up space yourself.

No. You purchase the CCTV system with a one-off payment and instantly become the full owner. Because the footage is stored locally on the recorder, you do not need a subscription. Furthermore, the app and all features are included as standard. There are absolutely no hidden monthly fees.

Your recordings belong to you. Not to a tech giant.

Many modern systems continuously send your private footage to third parties for analysis and storage. Bascom is committed to absolute privacy. The cameras are equipped with AI chips that perform all analyses independently, and the recorder stores your footage locally. This ensures that everything remains securely within your own premises.

No, Bascom does not have access to your CCTV system. Your footage only leaves the recorder when you explicitly choose to do so.

Yes, you can. You can easily connect the system to your Dropbox, Google Drive, or your own (S)FTP server.

Yes, local storage provides the perfect foundation for this: after all, your footage does not end up with a third party. Furthermore, the system includes all the features required to comply with regulations. You decide who has access, how long recordings are kept, and you can obscure specific parts of the image using privacy masking.

Crystal-clear evidence you can actually use.

A camera is useless if strong backlighting makes a face unrecognisable or if the image turns into grainy noise in the dark. That is why Bascom's hardware guarantees clear footage, even under the most challenging conditions:

  • True Full HD resolution with smooth, stutter-free footage.

  • Light-sensitive image sensors with active noise reduction.

  • Backlight compensation to prevent under- and overexposure.

  • Powerful infrared night vision up to 30 metres in complete darkness.

Capture exactly what matters.

Because no two situations are the same, the zoom lens allows you to determine the ideal viewing angle yourself. Opt for a wide angle for a complete overview of a site, or zoom in on a specific detail such as a door, till, or driveway. This ensures you always capture what matters most to you in crystal-clear detail.

No. Many cheaper cameras use digital zoom, just like a smartphone. This simply enlarges the image, quickly resulting in blocky pixels. The PRO and PLUS cameras feature an optical zoom lens. This involves the glass lenses physically moving inside the camera to bring the image closer. You get a larger view of the detail without losing any sharpness whatsoever.

Absolutely. No two locations are the same. A standard camera has a fixed viewing angle, meaning you often miss a small section or end up unnecessarily filming a blank wall. A zoom lens allows you to tailor the image exactly to your situation. You eliminate redundant edges, ensuring the camera focuses its maximum sharpness purely on the area that is important to you.

Yes. A standard camera tries to get everything in the frame – from close up to far away – reasonably sharp. In practice, this is always a compromise. A zoom camera works more precisely: it allows you to focus the lens exactly at the distance you choose. Whether that is the gate at the front or the car at the back. As a result, the image at that one crucial focal point is always visibly crisper and sharper than with a standard camera.

Use the system your way.

Connect a monitor, or connect the recorder to the internet to watch live and review footage from anywhere in the world. The Bascom app and software connect directly to your own system. Fast and secure.

Notifications that truly matter.

A security camera that sends a notification for every cat that walks by quickly loses its value. Thanks to advanced AI detection, false alarms are a thing of the past. Bascom cameras flawlessly distinguish between people, vehicles, and harmless movements. You only receive a push notification via the app when there is genuinely something going on.

Professional end result without hiring an installer.

No waiting times, no call-out charges, and no strangers on your premises. Over 95% of our customers install this system entirely themselves, even without prior experience with CCTV. And if you have a question during installation? Bascom's specialists are ready to guide you step by step.

Step 1. Mount the cameras
Secure the cameras to a wall or ceiling. You can then take your time to position them precisely. The lens can be rotated in any direction, so even if the camera is mounted at an angle or upside down, the image will still appear level. You can route the cable out the side or straight through the wall behind the camera, leaving nothing visible.

Step 2. Connect the cameras to the recorder
Thanks to Power over Ethernet (PoE), each camera requires only a single cable to connect to the recorder. This cable transmits video from the camera while simultaneously delivering power from the recorder – no power socket is needed near the camera. The recorder starts recording immediately and no configuration is required. If you like, you can now connect a monitor or TV to the recorder and control it using a mouse.

Step 3. Connect the recorder to the internet (optional)
Want to view your footage remotely via smartphone or computer? Simply connect the recorder to your internet – either directly using the included Ethernet cable to your modem or router, or wirelessly using our Wi-Fi antenna. Once connected, download the Bascom app, scan the QR code on the recorder, and you're ready to view live images.

If you have a question while setting up the system or connecting the app, Bascom's specialists are available by phone every weekday to guide you step by step.

  • No anonymous call centre: You speak directly with certified Bascom technicians who know the system inside out.

  • No endless queues: Fast, expert help right when you need it, every weekday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.

  • Free and unlimited: Our support is, and will always remain, completely free of charge.

Call our specialists directly on 0121 368 0033 or send an email to info@bascom-cameras.co.uk.

Yes. The number of additional cameras you can connect depends on the available ports on your recorder. The included recorder is tailored to the size of the system by default:

  • 1 to 4 cameras: recorder with 4 ports.

  • 5 to 8 cameras: recorder with 8 ports.

  • 9 to 16 cameras: recorder with 16 ports.

Are you planning a larger expansion in the future than the recorder can handle? It is always possible to equip the system with a larger recorder in advance. Please contact us to arrange this, or configure a custom system yourself.

Technical specifications

Dimensions

Height: 118 mm

Diagonal (bottom): 150 mm

Image quality

Image resolution: Full HD

Frame rate: 25 fps ?The frame rate, expressed in frames per second (fps), determines how smoothly video is displayed. A frequency of 25 fps is considered the industry standard for film and television, providing smooth motion without stuttering.

Type of image sensor: back-illuminated ?A back-illuminated image sensor has a unique structure, where the light-sensitive part is closer to the light source, improving the efficiency of light capture. This ensures that the camera performs better in low light conditions and only needs to switch to night mode later.

Image processing technologies:

  • High Dynamic Range (HDR) ?HDR technology significantly improves image quality by increasing the dynamic range between the brightest and darkest parts of the image. This results in images where details in very bright and very dark areas are preserved.

  • Automatic Gain Control (AGC) ?AGC automatically amplifies the signal of the image sensor in low-light situations. This allows the camera to consistently deliver bright images, even in a dark environment.

  • 3D Digital Noise Reduction (3D-DNR) ?Noise is the grainy structure that occurs when there is little light. 3D-DNR is an advanced algorithm that analyzes camera images and removes noise. This results in cleaner and sharper images in the dark.

Type lens: Motorized zoom lens with autofocus ?With a motorized zoom lens, you can control the zoom remotely. The autofocus ensures that the camera refocuses accurately after each zoom adjustment.

Zoom capacity: 5 times optical zoom ?Optical zoom uses the physical movement of lens elements to zoom, preserving image quality. This is in contrast to digital zoom, where sharpness is lost.

Field of view: 112° (wide angle) to 28° (zoomed in)

Color image: active from 0.002 lux ?This indicates the minimum amount of light needed for the camera to operate in color mode before switching to infrared night vision.

Infrared night vision: up to 30 meters ?This is the maximum distance the camera can capture clearly in complete absence of light.
